Chasttisgarh is the state situated in the Eastern part of the Central India. Chattisgarh is the formally part of Madhya Pradesh. On 1 November 2000, It became the 26th state of United India The state shared its border with other states like Jharkhand, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Maharastra, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Ancient name of the state is Dakshina Kosala (South Kosala). The state is popularly known for its large and beautiful forests, Waterfalls and Temples. The Capital of the state is Raipur and also the largest city of Chattisgarh. The state is rich in the resources like Coal, Steel, Iron and Electricity. Chattisgarh is one of the largest growing state in India with the economy of 3.63 lakh crore and the per capita income of 102,762.

HISTORY OF CHATTISGARH
The History of the Chattisgarh is recorded to about the 4th century CE. In ancient time, the state was known as the Dakshina Kosala, mentioned in the epic Ramayana as the native place of the Lord Rama. The meaning of name of the state is referred as "Thirty Six Forts", formally applied to the territory of Haihaya Dynasty of Ratanpur founded about in 750. Under British rule, Chattisgarh consisted of a division of 14 Princely Kingdoms and Raipur was the Headquarter of this Division.
After the Independence from the British Rule, Chattisgarh was the part of the Madhya Pradesh. In the Early 20th century when the local leaders began to claim the distinct cultural identity for the region. In the Early 1990's the voice for the statehood was arise in the manifesto of the various political parties and promise for the seperate state in the elections during 1996 and 1998. In August 2000 the Indian Legislature passed the Madhya Pradesh Reorganization Bill and on 1 November 2000, Chattisgarh become the 26th state of the Republic India.

Chattisgarh is the state rich in its cultural and traditional values and also able to preserved it with the adoption of modernization. The population of the Chattisgarh is majorly Tribes. These groups are Gond, Korba, Baiga, Dhurvaa tribes etc. The district of Bastar holds the largest tribal population of the country. Hindi and the Chattisgarhi are to major languages spoken by the people of the Chattisgarh. The Cutural values of the state is shown in the ethenic dresses and the dance of people of the state.
The women of the state wear knee length Sarees of bright colours and the jewellery and the men of the state wear Dhotis and the cotton Turban. This horse shaped waterfall holds the height of about 100 ft making this fall more beautiful and gives your mind a delightful pleasure. Chitrakota Fall is came into exsistence from by the water of the River Indravati which flow from the Vindhya Mountains Range. Sirpur is one of the most popular destination situated about 84 km far from the capital Raipur of Chattisgarh. Sirpur is gifted with several archeological centers and traditional Cultural Heritages and architecture. The mention of the Sirpur found in the ancient epigraphs records of 5th to 8th century. In Sirpur, one the major attraction to visit is Laxman Temple because It is the first temple of India built from bricks. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Dongargarh is one of the most famous and the top Pilgrimage Destination of Chattisgarh. This place is famous for the Maa Bamleshwari temple situated at the height of almost 1600 ft. Achanakmar Tiger Reserve is the most popular Tiger Reserve extended in the area of about 557 sq. km situated in the Bilaspur district of Chattisgarh. It was declared as the tiger reserve under project Tiger in 2009. This reserve is the home many tiger species and other mammals like Indian giant squirrel, wild dog, Hyenas and leopards etc. There are about 150 species of Birds. Many tourists came every year to visit the reserve and feel the wildlife experience.

Champaran mela is the most popular festival of Chattisgarh. Champaran is the important pilgrimage center of India and is the birth place of Saint Vallabhacharya ji, the founder of Vallabh community. 3. BHORAMDEO FESTIVAL.

The festival was first organized by Maharaja Ramchandra Deo from Nagvanshi Dynasty, who laid the foundation of Bhoramdeo Temple in 1349. 4. GONCHA FESTIVAL.
Goncha festival is the popular festival celebrated in the Jagdalpur city of Chattisgarh. This is a tribal festival celebrating in July. In this festival, the member of the tribes celebrate it by making fake pistol out of bamboo and using Goncha ( the fruit or berry found in the state ) as the fake bullets and shoot each other in mock fights. This festival is very famous and fill everyone full of happiness and joy.
